Art in Nature.

My work begins in the landscape.

Each painting starts outdoors, where I spend time walking, observing and recording the movement of birds in flight. I translate these movements into lines and gestures that later become the foundations of my paintings in the studio. The works you see here have been taken back into the landscapes that inspire them - a reflection of my belief that my paintings are from nature rather than simply of it.
