The First Snow, and a New Artwork to Welcome it.

The First Snow

As the first snow of winter drifted into the Lake District, I couldn’t resist carrying a freshly finished artwork (almost still drying from the easel) out into the frosty stillness. Softbound Sky felt completely at home here.

The sky was mesmerising, my hands were frozen, but somehow the moment felt inevitable… as though the landscape had been waiting for this painting all along.

Softbound Sky is available and ready to grace a wall where it can bring a daily dose of nature’s quiet drama into your home. If it catches your eye and you’d like any further imagery or details, simply reply to this email - I’d be delighted to share more with you, even if you’re just in the mood for a deeper peek.

December tends to arrive with its own kind of whirl: busy days, bright lights, rushing, excitement, emotion - always something calling for our attention. I know it isn’t always a month of pure ease for everyone, so if this season feels a little heavy, I’m sending warmth and gentleness your way.

May you find some soft pauses amidst the bustle, and moments of stillness to enjoy, wherever they appear.

Art can be such a meaningful and personal gift - whether for a loved one, or simply a treat to ourselves. With gifting season upon us, I thought I’d share two of my smaller available pieces, in case they happen to fill a little space on your list.

Rustborne Light:
A reminder that even a small artwork can shift the atmosphere of an entire room. The warm reds and ember-like oranges in this piece seem to glow - a little burst of firelight for the wall.

Misty Cascade: This gentle grey piece sits beautifully in a quiet corner - almost like a whisper of mist finding its way indoors. Perfect for adding a soft, thoughtful presence to a tiny nook.

It may be the new year before our next catch-up - although who knows. If the words flow, I might well be dropping another little note your way before December is done.

I’m hoping for a few crisp days on top of a chilly mountain soon; I hope you’re able to carve out a moment or two for nature as well. It really does work wonders for the soul.

Stay wrapped up warm, and sending you my very best wishes,

Charlotte
